Out of about 397 listings for 1965, some 70 reports come from South America, despite language and other difficulties. The S.E. coasts of Brazil are busy but not the North, where Venezuela steals the show. Argentina and Southern Peru are quite busy, Chile much less so. Columbia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia and the Guyanas show no sightings at all for 1965. The APRO group, sadly defunct, did much to bring these events to light via their South American contacts. One report from the Alto Puros river in far western Brazil has a classic saucer landing. A door opened. The rubber plantation workers there fled interror.
