The Republic of South Africa shows 127 events, Zimbabwe/Zambia another 60, with the rest scattered widely. The only wave of note occurred in July 1972, almost entirely on the southeast coast and inland mountains of South Africa. Oddly, the small country of Belgium had a local wave in that very same month, while the rest of the world was quiet.
