This map of the USA with parts of Canada and Mexico shows sightings for all dates. Some areas, even sparsely populated ones, show a disproportionate number of sightings. Other areas, like south-eastern Oregon, West-central Nebraska, etc. have very few. The entire states of Kentucky and Tennessee seem under-represented, while states directly to the North were quite "busy". Language and other difficulties prevent adequate coverage of Mexico and the Caribbean region.
