There are many accounts of UFOs associated with Area 51. Say "UFO" and most people immediately think "aliens" and "flying saucers." Ever wonder why? There are many other possibilities. One answer was all around us. Rumors of aliens are actually encouraged in this area. For example, a big sign anounces the "Extraterrestrial Highway" and the only hotel for miles is called the "Little A'Le'Inn." If there are aliens, and it is supposed to be a secret, wouldn't the military somehow discourage such outrageous road signs?

II. Dangerous Cows and UFOs on the ET Highway

They'd left a wallet in another town and they were going back to get it. Could they follow us in to the small town of Rachel?

They were pretty tired and were afraid of hitting cows crossing the road. We hadn't seen any cows on the road after many miles of driving so this sounded like a strange reason.

We agreed that they could follow us in. Night closed in quickly.

Sure enough, there were plenty of cows. We nearly hit a few! There was also a deer that gave us a serious adrenaline rush as it darted in front of our speeding car. On the way, we passed a man in a broken down truck. I pulled over a few hundred feet past him.

Our followers pulled up beside us, and we sent "Mulder and Scully" back to see if he wanted a lift. They went and talked to him and came back to tell us he'd camp in his truck and wait for the road crew to come by in the morning. Seemed fishy to us.

Perhaps people just do this in Nevada, or it could be... THE PLACE WAS CRAWLING WITH AGENTS and he was just one more.

Just after dark, traveling southeast towards Rachel on the ET Highway, all four of us, in two different cars, saw an orange light in the sky.

It stayed in one spot, on for 5 seconds, off 5 seconds.

After about the 5th time, it blinked off and was gone. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get a picture.

A short time later, we came to the lights of the tiny town of Rachel, home of the legendary Little A'le'Inn. Our agent friends were right behind us.
