10/29/04 Politics. Here's some propaganda I heard today: Gore whined about the popular vote, but that doesn't matter because Bush won the electoral vote and we are a representative democracy. We are not majority rule.
I didn't vote for Gore, but he did win. Yes, we are a representative democracy, but Gore would have also won the electoral vote if the Supreme Court hadn't stopped the Florida recount. This is not an opinion, it is a fact. Bush had 271 electoral votes and Gore had 266. Florida has 25 electoral votes. (See infoplease, also local copy here - useful for tracking the 2004 vote too!) The correct electoral vote total was : Bush 246 and Gore 291. The evidence is clear as to how the Florida vote (popular and electoral) was stolen and who did it. Bush won by 537 votes with 2,912,790 to Gore's 2,912,253, but thousands of mostly black democratic votes were not counted.

Bush lost both the popular and the electoral vote. Bush lost. He lost. He was the loser but he cheated better than Gore, so he became the head cheater. It is true that some felons can't vote. The laws about felons voting actually differ from state to state. But the point about the recount is that non felons were errouneously purged. Yes, they were. That's the reality. ( See this link. ) We know for a FACT that Bush lost because the purge list was made public on Jul 3, 2004 thanks to a lawsuit by news organizations.

You can say, "it is already over, stop whining about it" but if someone stole your car, would you say this? If someone stole the keys to your house and moved in and then got a crooked judge to say it was legal, would you say this?? The fact is, election fraud is illegal in this country. People go to jail for it (for example, Mark Jimenez). The people responsible for stealing the 2000 election should be in jail, not in office. We the people have let incompetent thieves and liars take over our country. What do we get for it? 9-11, unsolved Anthrax attacks, Iraq, beheadings, hatred of Americans around the world, lost jobs at home, national debt, soaring gas prices, and ... what will be next? Vote Bush out of office and then investigate and put these people in jail where they belong. Then, lets get on with the real work of making our country energy independent.
This is only a pipe dream if we stick with our old oily ways. We will have to conserve, we will have to adapt, we will have to make changes to our "way of life" but it can be done. If we refuse to change, then prepare for World War III, starting in the Middle East. Gee, good thing we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan.

This is why Republican talking heads have to poison the well.
Have the results of the upcoming Nov 3rd election already been pre-determined? Consider: the results were announced prematurely nearly a month before the election by an AP news feed on WBAY on Thursday, October 7, 2004. (boingboing) Supposedly, this was just a test and the numbers were random. Yeah, right.
10/31/04 Politics. We MUST get Osama because he has obviously found the fountain of youth! No telling when he might unleash his weapon on the US and regress us all back to toddlers! In the latest video released a few days before the presidential election (surprise!) his beard is less white now than it was before. I can't imagine him coloring his beard, can you? Which probably means this latest video is OLD and this is just a ploy of some kind.

There is a terrorist media organization? Who knew? Pardon my skepticism, but is that the same media group that produced the fake Bin Laden tape where the guy who was supposedly Bin Laden had a much smaller nose? You know, the one where he confessed to 9-11 (picture E below)?
And did they also make that fake Bin Laden audio tape? "Bin Laden tape a fake, Swiss lab says. Scientists compared recording to 20 other tapes of terror chief The Lausanne-based Dalle Molle Institute for Perceptual Artificial Intelligence said it is 95-per-cent certain the tape does not feature the voice of the long-absent terrorist leader."
Well, gotta keep the people scared. Have to have a boogie man, don't we? Not to say that there won't be real attacks, but who will be doing the attacking? Lets hope we live to find out the truth.

10/22/04 Vote Fraud (Truthout) Welcome to our thug-run banana republic where people are harassed at the polls.
"Republican Party officials in Ohio took formal steps yesterday to place thousands of recruits inside polling places on Election Day to challenge the qualifications of voters they suspect are not eligible to cast ballots.
Party officials say their effort is necessary to guard against fraud arising from aggressive moves by the Democrats to register tens of thousands of new voters in Ohio, seen as one of the most pivotal battlegrounds in the Nov. 2 elections.
Election officials in other swing states, from Arizona to Wisconsin and Florida, say they are bracing for similar efforts by Republicans to challenge new voters at polling places, reflecting months of disputes over voting procedures and the anticipation of an election as close as the one in 2000.

10/20/04 Strange Idea. Here is a strange idea I've been reading all over the net for years: 9/11 was an inside job to get popular support for the already planned invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq to secure oil, to control the middle east, to cover up a stolen election, to get personal revenge on Saddam, to further the middle east religous war by getting the US firmly on the "Christian" side, to make money on defense contracts, to justify our massive military after the fall of the Soviet Union, to make a president with climbing disapproval ratings popular again, to restore the flow of drugs from Afghanistan, etc. Motives: Oil, Power, Money, Religion, Drugs. How: Multiple wargames on 9/11 with remote controlled planes including a plane into building simulation drew our fighters up north and put false blips on radar to confuse our defenses and prevent intercepts. Cheney ran the show. This is why he now fears 9/11 ever being handled as a criminal case, why he and Bush tried to block 9/11 investigations, why he would not testify before the 9/11 commission, but would only appear in private with no transcript, and so on. What do you think?
Here is an exercise from about 10 months before 9/11 where a plane hits the Pentagon. (from army.mil web site) "Washington, D.C., Nov. 3, 2000 -- The fire and smoke from the downed passenger aircraft billows from the Pentagon courtyard." Another of many strange 9/11 facts that one side sees as coincidence and the other sees as proof of a conspiracy. Some conspiracies are real, some aren't. Conspiracies involving horrible acts really do happen among those in power at times. For example, Staff Sgt. Ivan L. "Chip" Frederick II, was "charged with conspiracy" among other things in the Abu Ghraib prison abuse case. Luckily, your entire government is not corrupt. There are still good people at the FBI, CIA, etc. and many honorable people serving in our military. There are good and bad eggs everywhere. Often the bad are aided by those who turn a blind eye out of fear or laziness. The big question is, do we have bad eggs at the very top?

10/13/04 Scary Rumor October Surprise: US to strike Iran? I found this item below on tbrnews.org which was linked from isbushwired.com today. Is this just propaganda or will it prove to be true? Sounds possible to me. Time will tell. I took a few details out that may be potentially sensitive. There is enough below to get the idea.

He can then make a speech to the American people stating that the evil Iranian nuclear weaponry has been destroyed by the Israelis with the full cooperation of his government as part of his heroic war against terrorists. Believe me, that speech has already been written and I have seen a copy of it. The brass here feels that this will have a tremendous impact on the American people, just before the elections. No U.S. ground troops will be used; Bush will stress that this is a joint U.S.-Israeli anti-terrorist project . Part of the speech deals with ongoing Shiite Iranian physical support of their Shiite brethren in Iraq and that by knocking out the Iranian nuclear weaponry, at the same time, they are protecting GIs from ongoing guerrilla warfare. The brass is literally rubbing it's hands and drooling over what they see as Bush's Final Victory. I have seen a negative report copy from someone in the Pentagon [who is not going to get promoted] that says if the Iranians get wind of this little game, they might strike first ... These people are literally insane and I really hope you don't delete this. Something really has to be done to stop these maniacs before we all die of radiation sickness!"

10/10/04 Politics A week ago we reported here that some people think Bush was wired during the first presidential debate. The idea got so hot on the net that the Bush people finally had to comment on it.
CNN: "Spokesman Scott Stanzel calls the idea "ridiculous," and adds, "Some people have been spending too many hours looking at left-wing conspiracy Web sites." He adds, "Did you hear the one about Elvis moderating the third debate?" CBC News:"It's not true. It's ridiculous," Bush campaign spokesman Scott Stanzel said. ABC News: "Campaign officials declined to discuss it further because they weren't certain a bulge even existed and do not want to appear to take seriously what they consider a "wild accusation."
Hmm.. 1) the device really exists, 2) actors use it to avoid memorizing lines, 3) poorly used, a prompter can make you sound less than spontaneous, 4) Bush has strange pauses, 5) he said "let me finish" seemingly to no one when he had plenty of time left for his answer, 7) he misuses words as if he is mishearing his lines, 8) there was that strange French speech he made where a voice (not Bush's) is saying Bush's speech BEFORE he does, and yet... we are told by Mr. Scott Stanzel that considering the possibility Bush is wired is equal to a belief that a dead singer will come back to life to moderate the third debate. Who is crazy here? Ridicule has taken the place of critical thinking in America and I for one am disgusted (but not at all surprised) by this factless psychological attack on Americans who think and raise reasonable suspicions.

Here is another interesting thing: A CNN video of part of a speech Bush made in France that includes another voice speaking before the President, saying what he says.
Is this a technical glitch, or an example of the actual voice and time delay that Bush hears? Watch the strange expression of the CNN reporter in France at the end of the report. Did some French technician break the code and send the Bush feed signal out to show the world the deception? Or is this video itself a fabrication? I did not see this myself on CNN and whomever added the titles obviously had video editing capabilities.
Anyway, I've always thought Bush has a bizarre manner when he speaks. His pauses are at times freaky. He gets a strange look in his eyes like he is listening to something, and sometimes an odd grin, like he is disconnected, distracted, crazy or from another planet. It would make sense if he is really listening to what he should say next. ( If that is true, couldn't anyone do his job? ) Some say Bush has trouble reading so perhaps audio makes him more comfortable.

[ Notes to self: If the video above really was what people saw on CNN, it may have made news .... but after Bush's speech ( Sunday, June 6, 2004), President Reagan's death ( 1 p.m. Saturday June 5, 2004) captured all media coverage for some time. Bush did mention Reagan's death in his speech in France according to the Whitehouse.gov transcript. The time difference between Paris and California (Reagan died in Los Angeles) is 9 hours. 10/4/04 Politics. Bush Blows Debate: Talks to Rove in Earpiece! "During the Presidential Debate Bush made what may be his most costly error- he exposed that he's using an earpiece to help him answer debate questions. In the middle of an answer Bush said, "let me finish" as if someone was interrupting him - yet nobody did - he was talking to the person in his earpiece. Zwire says, "... camera angles [candidates tried to enforce strict rules on the networks] may seem like a small point, but campaigns know they offer potential embarrassing moments." Republicans are accusing Kerry of cheating by breaking the rules by having some notes with him. I wonder if the rules allow radio-controlled puppetry? A mistake he made in giving a Web address sent tens of thousands of computer users to an anti-Bush site when they searched the Internet late Tuesday and into Wednesday.
... The vice president urged viewers to go to "factcheck.com" for an independent analysis. But Cheney should have sent viewers to "factcheck.org," an online project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
... Web users clicking on "factcheck.com" were redirected to the site "georgesoros.com." That site is devoted to the topic "why we must not re-elect President Bush."

10/4/04 Politics / Sacrasm. According to (CNN) FBI opens 17,000 fewer cases, with 11,617 fewer cases related to violent fugitives in 2003 than in 2000. Efforts in the past directed against drugs, violent crime and organized crime have been turned to fight 
terrorism. Well, there have been no more big terror attacks, right? That is good. But we haven't really heard of any new terror cases in the US, have we? The FBI has not solved the Anthrax attacks case or found Osama. Perhaps all kinds of dastardly attacks ARE being thwarted every day. How would we know?
Pay me big and I'll make sure you are never attacked by elephants. Seriously. I'm on the job. Elephant attacks are REALLY nasty!
Well, the several hundred million the FBI gets is being used to set up the very best surveillance systems in the world. They will come in handy when people realize we are running out of oil (BBC | BBC). In the near future, we will face massive shortages of fuel, water, medicine, plastic products, and so on. And people will go a little nuts. They will rail against the establishment. That may be the coming 'terrorist' problem.
So, I declare, Congress should give me just $100 million and I'll start protecting us against elephant invasions today. These beasts are really scary. You don't understand the terrible danger they pose!! These creatures are ANIMALS! America, have you been attacked by an elephant today? No, you haven't. Because I'm protecting you. That will be $100 million. Thanks. I need to build myself an underground fortress and stock it with supplies to ride out the ugly, uh, elephant attacks, that are coming.
