Aw, it was a political satire page. What's next, the Onion on google news? How rude. Anyway, this will be fun reading for many people I'm sure.

Canadians Authorities Arrest U.S. President Bush On War Charges
By Paul K. J.
Nov 30, 2004, 19:22

Canadian authorities have arrested US president George W. Bush in Ottawa. He has been charged with several offences under Canada's War Crimes Act. Vice-President Dick Cheney has mobilized the American military and all border crossings between the two nations have closed. Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin has urged for calm in a short radio and television broadcast to the Canadian people immediately after the arrest. Part of the Prime Minister's broadcast is included here:

"This decision was not made lightly. But, it was also a decision that was impossible not to make. The United States is not outside the rule of law, and cannot expect to get an unlimited 'free pass'. This decision puts a grave strain upon both our nations, and I urge calm and restraint from our American neighbours, as well as from Canadians. I have met with the cabinet, and with our colleagues in the House. This is a time of great crisis for us as a nation. But as people, we will survive this test. Earlier I enacted the Emergency War Powers Act. This is necessary to guarantee our domestic security. This is not a time for panic, for lawlessness, for anything other than a responsible and sobre focus on what lies immediately ahead.

According to Canadian Justice Department officials the President faces a lengthy list of offences.

Canada's War Crimes Act was designed to hold foreigners accountable for their complicity or involvement in a vast array of war crimes.

... Under both Canadian and International War Crimes law George Bush is being charged with genocide, torture, murder, and the most strong of all war crimes, the crime of war of aggression.

The United Nations position on the illegality of the Iraq invasion has been known for sometime, but sceptics believed that the UN would fail to be able to bring America to account."

11/23/2004 Politics Ukraine Opposition Converges on President's Office

11/23/2004 Politics / Vote Fraud In this month's US presidential elections there were more than 57,000 complaints of fraud provided to the House Judiciary Committee including computer and voting machine problems that added to totals and thew out votes.

"We are literally receiving additional reports every minute," said a November 5 letter from lawmakers to the GAO.

Are people in the US still upset about our election results? I found this on a google news search today. Oops.

The GAO is going to investigate election complaints ... but are they spineless? They seem to be saying, "We will investigate, but if we find anything (like the fact that Bush lost the again in 2004) we will use that information to figure out how to pull a better scam in the future."

"Rep. John Conyers Jr. of Michigan, said the goal is not to overturn the election results, but rather to improve the mechanics of the voting process."

I read that statement this way: "You may have been robbed. If we determine you have indeed been robbed, we will make sure the next robbery is more difficult for you to detect. We the Overlords know that what people really want is a convincing illusion of democracy. Give up your rights peacefully and we will make your life easy."

Democracy is not self sustaining. It must be learned and fought for by each new generation. Otherwise, it will be replaced by ruthless dictatorship. Sad, but historically true.

11/23/2004 Politics / Vote Fraud The Ukrainians are not going to allow their country to be taken via vote fraud. They are marching and demanding the election be annulled. Meanwhile Americans are looking on saying, "Huh. People can do that? Interesting."

KIEV, Ukraine (AP) - Tens of thousands of protesters draped in the orange colors of the opposition marched on Parliament today and demanded that the results of Ukraine's hotly contested presidential election be annulled as their leader accused the government of fraud and called for civil disobedience. ... Special forces guarded government buildings amid fears that anger over the election could spin into civil unrest in this former Soviet republic of 48 million people."

11/16/2004 Politics / Humor Someone sent me this:

11/16/2004 Strange Happenings. Meanwhile, out in the world, strange gross things are happening. I've been trying to ignore them, but this is just too odd.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- A man who set himself on fire outside the White House on Monday claimed to be an informant of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Mohamed Alanssi, 52, approached the northwest guardhouse on Pennsylvania Avenue about 2:05 pm local time and asked security officers to deliver a note to President George W. Bush.

When turned away by Secret Service officers, Alanssi ignited hisjacket with a lighter, the report quoted the US Park Police as saying. The fire was extinguished and he was subdued by the officers.

Alanssi was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was said by hospital authorities to be in a critical condition with burns to about 30 percent of his body.

Terror case dealt blow when key witness sets himself afire. (newsday) "The prosecution of a sheik accused of funneling millions of dollars to al-Qaida was roiled Tuesday by news that a man who set himself on fire in front of the White House was a key witness in the case.

Defense attorneys said Mohamed Alanssi is a confidential informant central to the prosecution of Sheik Ali Hassan al-Moayad, whom U.S. authorities consider their biggest catch to date in a campaign to cut off funding for terrorists."

So, you have to wonder... why did this guy, who had a note for Bush with him, really try to kill himself in front of the White House? What was in the note? This could bring some bad attention on the FBI, since the would be suicider claims the FBI "promised to make him a millionaire on the one hand if he went along with the program and if he didn't they were going to put him in jail and torture him" according to his lawyer, Jonathan Marks. Strange. Unless you are nuts, the mere fear of jail and torture is not enough, you'd have to be very certain you were going to be tortured I think.

This guy claimed via phone to have covered himself in gasoline before the attempt. Horrible. One story says he wrote to the FBI's director saying, "Once I testify my family will be killed in Yemen, me too I will be dead man." He was a father of six according to one source, so perhaps he believed that by killing himself he could save his children? He was probably going to testify at the terrorism trial in January, a few months from now. Is this the story of a crazy man, a heroic father, or something else?

11/8/2004 Politics / Vote Fraud. (globalresearch) According to Michael Keefer, an Associate Professor of English at the University of Guelph, the exit poll results, like the actual votes, were illegally manipulated in Bush's favor.

" ... By the time polls were closing in the eastern states, the vote-count figures published by CNN showed Bush leading Kerry by a massive 11 percent margin. ... But how do we know the fix was in? Because the exit poll data also included the total number of respondents. At 9:00 p.m. EST, this number was well over 13,000; by 1:36 a.m. EST on November 3 it had risen by less than 3 percent, to a final total of 13, 531 respondents--but with a corresponding swing of 5 percent from Kerry to Bush in voters' reports of their choices. Given the increase in respondents, a swing of this size is a mathematical impossibility. The same pattern is evident in the exit polls of two key swing states, Ohio and Florida."

"... Air America Radio's Mike Malloy gave the most succinct and passionate explanation in his Wednesday, November 3, 2004, program [my links included-LC]: "The American vote count is controlled by three major corporate players, Diebold, ESS, Sequoia, and a fourth, SAIC, Science Applications International. All four are hard-wired into the Bush power structure, the Bush crime family. "

Here is how John Kerry un-won the election according to Larry Chin. Kerry won, but Bush is in office. Strange. Why isn't Kerry fighting back? Perhaps because he and Bush are in the same club: The Skull and Bones? See this article from CBS news.

"Skull and Bones is an elite secret society at Yale University that includes some of the most powerful men of the 20th century. ... As opposite as George Bush and John Kerry may seem to be, they do share a common secret - one they've shared for decades, and one they will not share with the electorate.

The secret: details of their membership in Skull and Bones, the elite Yale University society whose members include some of the most powerful men of the 20th century.

Bonesmen, as they're called, are forbidden to reveal what goes on in their inner sanctum, the windowless building on the Yale campus that is called the Tomb."

Interesting little known fact, eh? But was there some secret agreement between Bush and Kerry? We'll likely never know but that idea makes some sense. If Kerry really wanted to win, and knew there was monkey business in the last election, he'd have insisted on a very careful examination of the key states before giving up. Right? So, what next? If the conpiracy theories are correct another 9-11 type event will be followed by a suspension of the constitution and a takeover by the military. Seems unlikely, but who knows.

11/8/2004 Politics. New York - A man who shot himself at the World Trade Centre site was apparently distraught over President George Bush's re-election. "The body of 25-year-old Andrew Veal, of Athens in the US state of Georgia, was found on Saturday morning inside the off-limits site. A shotgun [ and Jack Daniels whiskey ] was found nearby, but no suicide note a spokesperson for the site's owners said. [Another source says yes, there was a note (rediff)]

'When cops found his body in lower Manhattan's hallowed ground Saturday morning, they found a note to his girlfriend saying she was "too good" for him, a source said.' The note also included a reference to Bush's victory, the source told the News.

"I'm absolutely sure it's a protest," Mary Anne Mauney, Veal's supervisor at the lab, said. "I don't know what made him commit suicide, but where he did it was symbolic."

"The New York Daily News, however, quoted surces as saying Veal led a double life, and that while engaged to be married to an Iowa college student, he also had a girlfriend in Athens, Georgia, where he lived. The article quoted friends as saying Veal was a peaceful, liberal vegetarian who hated guns, never got worked up about politics or Sept. 11 and seemed content. 'The day after Bush won, Veal bought a shotgun in an Athens store and drove to New York, a source said, where he went on a spending spree with his girlfriend's credit card,' the article said.

Why go on a "spending spree" if you are going to kill yourself? What did he buy? Strange. Don't self destruct people. We need good people around to keep this country going in the right direction.

11/6/2004 Politics / Survival. Hey, I have an idea. First, we could stop killing innocent people. Then, as a group, we could find realistic solutions to our planet's scarce resources. The earth can comfortably support only 2 billion people with an American Standard of living, good health, nutrition, prosperity, personal dignity and freedom. Our planet's population is currently 6.3 billion and will soar to 9 or 10 billion in the future. Solution: Everyone must stop breeding until we get back down to 2 billion. By a 2003 estimate, 155,399 souls die each day and 349,542 are born. If we all stop breeding, we can lower the population in one life time 41,175 days (about 112 years). Obviously, this is wrong, because no one alive today will be ready to breed 112 years from now, but you get the idea. Not breeding for a while is the peaceful solution to war! Not breeding is also called birth control. Read up on it!

11/5/2004 Politics / History

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind...

And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry.

Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded with patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader, and gladly so.

How do I know? For this is what I have done.

And I am Caesar."

--- William Shakespeare

11/5/2004 Politics (AP) I've been telling you... Bush did not really win. MORE ELECTION FRAUD!! Now in both Ohio and Florida. In Florida, the machines counted backwards to remove votes for Kerry. In Ohio thousands more more votes went to Bush than there were actual people voting!! This came out on the AP wire today:

Posted on Fri, Nov. 05, 2004 Computer error at voting machine gives Bush 3,893 extra votes Associated Press

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A computer error with a voting machine cartridge gave President Bush 3,893 extra votes in a Gahanna precinct. Franklin County's unofficial results gave Bush 4,258 votes to Democratic challenger John Kerry's 260 votes in Precinct 1B.

Records show only 638 voters cast ballots in that precinct. Matthew Damschroder, director of the Franklin County Board of Elections, said Bush received 365 votes there. The other 13 voters who cast ballots either voted for other candidates or did not vote for...

This is the tip of the iceburg people. This is not a glitch, it is not a "computer error," it is a treasonous and criminal theft of our country's future. There are many, many more accounts of fraud surfacing. This election, like the last one, was stolen. Go do something about it.

"The "erroneous" exit polls that showed Kerry carrying Florida and Ohio (among other states) weren't erroneous at all - it was the numbers produced by paperless voting machines that were wrong, and Kerry actually won." - wrh

"Days after the election, 55 million Americans are still scratching their heads and wondering how it is that George W. Bush won reelection. Garnering 8 million more votes than he earned in 2000, many are raising eyebrows as to how this was accomplished." Here's how: "Over the past few years, Republicans have fought to prevent any type of paper trail through electronic voting.  Despite printable ATM type receipts being a reasonable fail-safe, Republicans and corporations such as Diebold fought hard and eventually won the battle against a verifiable voting system" - wdisp.

Yes, the repugs stole this election, but so what? Only dems live in a world where they expect things to be fair. Repugs know the world is not fair. You get what you can however you can while pretending otherwise, right? Be honest.

11/4/2004 Politics (CNN) Disgruntled Democrats move to Canada? "Canadian officials made clear on Wednesday that any U.S. citizens so fed up with Bush that they want to make a fresh start up north would have to stand in line like any other would-be immigrants -- a wait that can take up to a year.

"Let me tell you -- if they're hard-working honest people, there's a process, and let them apply," Immigration Minister Judy Sgro told Reuters."

11/4/2004 Politics. "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" Watch Votergate. As important a film as Fahrenheit 9-11. Must see! This is what I was talking about before the election.

GEMS, the central tabulator active in 1000 counties, is prone to abuse. One professor who examined the code at the graduate level found secret back doors that will allow altering of the results without leaving any trace.

11/3/2004 Politics. Once again GW Bush was actually defeated (see vote fraud and exit poll story below), but was able to cheat his way again into the White House for another four years of incompetence, terror and destruction. Watch the protestors yelling, chanting and being escorted away during Bush's acceptance speech.

11/3/2004 Politics. Best proof so far Bush lost this election to e-voting fraud. Another stolen election. Deja Vu. Here it is, as if you care (rawstory) :

Exit polls and "actual" results don't match; Evoting states show greater discrepancy

An analysis of the original AP exit polling, which showed Kerry with a tighter margin and leading in myriad states, raises serious questions about the authenticity of the popular vote in several key states, RAW STORY has learned.

Since the actual outcome of the votes have been called, AP has changed nearly all of their exit polling to tighten the margin. A reason has not been given.

The analysis, first conducted by a poster at the popular Democratic Underground [ad pop up warning], suggests possible voter fraud in states that do not have electronic voting receipts.

RAW STORY has placed an inquiry with the media contact for the six-network exit polling consortium at NBC News. The site hopes to have a reply late this afternoon.

An exit poll involves asking someone after they walk out of the election booth who they voted for. While not a guide for proving results, it can be a mechanism for ensuring voting accuracy and flagging potential fraud. Exit polls were recently used in Venezuela to ensure the vote was accurate and legitimate.

Perhaps more importantly, while exit polling is unreliable, the odds of President Bush having gaining an advantage from every exit poll in swing states is an extremely improbable coincidence.

In Florida, Bush led exit polling by CNN of more than 3 million voters by just 5355 votes. Yet he led by 326,000 in the end result. This morning, CNN changed their exit polling to favor Bush, saying that had overweighted African American voters.

In Wisconsin, where exit polls put Kerry up seven percent, Bush has a lead of one percent, an unexplained difference of eight percent.

In New Mexico, Kerry led Bush by 3.8 percent, yet Bush leads Kerry by 3 percent in actual reported voting.

In Minnesota, where a new law sharply restricts reporters' access to polls, Kerry led 9.6 percent in exit polling. Actual voting counts found that Bush trailed by 5 percent, with a 5 percent discrepancy favoring Bush.

Ohio, which does have paper trail, and some electronic voting, exits showed Kerry and Bush in a dead heat; in the near-final results, Bush led by three percent.

Exit polls put Kerry up by 8 percent in Michigan; actual results show Bush trailing by just 3 percent.

Two states with mandated paper trails for electronic voting were within 0.1 percent margin of error.

New Hampshire, which has electronic voting but provides verified receipts, exit polling is within 0.1 percent of the actual vote. Kerry led by 3 percent in exit polling, and 2.9 percent in the actual vote.

Nevada, which also has electronic voting and mandated paper trails, had a variance of 0.1 percent as well. Kerry led the actual vote by 1.3 percent; the exit polls had him up by 1.2 percent.

Kerry does not gain by any significant margin in actual voting in any state for which analysis has been conducted, RAW STORY found.

Exit polling accurately predicted the results in most states with very little error. Where there were discrepancies, they were significant in the +5 percent range, and always favored Bush."

11/3/2004 Politics. Latest Osama Tape another fake? This Osama said his goal is to bankrupt the US. Bush seems to have that same goal. You knew the Bush's and Bin Laden's are business partners, right? What did you expect?

"Close (Closer than the last phony) but no cigar. Note the shape of the cheeks and the width of the nose. And this man's left hand looks [fine] while, where the real Osama's hand was reportedly [severely] injured at Tora Bora. ... But consider this. If this is the real Osama, doesn't his appearance now prove that Bush has wasted two hundred billion dollars and a thousand American lives (plus 100,000 Iraqi lives) without making us any safer from Osama? Doesn't this tape, if it is genuine, prove that Bush is a total failure in his own "war on terror"? "

11/2/04 Politics. NEWSFLASH: First Exit Poll Results Favour Kerry, however, early states went to Bush. Watch results on CNN, and BCC.

Oops, Dougherty county GA accidentally published some real results. Is Bush actually losing the popular vote by a landslide!? Ha! Okay, turn the machines back on and pump up his numbers. This is from CNN for the State of Georgia:

Snapshots of how the election progressed... most recent first. Assuming this isn't the second biggest vote fraud in history, which it may well be... I'd say about half of we Americans must like war, poverty, lack of health care, joblessness, poor education, an f'ed up polluted environment and a President who misleads us into a world of torture and beheadings. I don't get it. Why don't they break down poll results by IQ? That would be interesting, wouldn't it?

.

11/2/04 Politics. VOTE! Provisional Ballots. ( common ) 131,000+ Calls Report Voting Problems in Key Areas: Ohio; Wayne Co., MI; Broward Co., Dade Co. & Orange Co., FL; South Carolina; Allegany, PA; Dallas, TX

Actually, what I found is that if you have a long name and a short name (Daniel & Dan, for example) and you give your long name, you may not be found and you'll be given a provisional ballot. Have poll workers check under other spellings of your name. Then you can get the real ballot. This happened to me. Xenophonius would have been given a provisional ballot, but Xeno, on the other hand...

I waited in line about an hour and a half for my chance to vote for change. War in Iraq? Hey, I have a 20 gallon gas tank, which means I'm currently paying more than $40 for a tank of gas! I like what Kerry said about focusing the country on a new energy search.

Click the chart below to look at last election's results, both popular vote and electoral, then compare to this year's results on CNN and possibly even better coverage from the BBC. "Around 110 million votes will be cast. This map will update with the latest as it happens. First results are expected midnight GMT on Tuesday." I think that's about 4 PM California time. Last year the top three candidates split 104 million 338 thousand 854 votes.

11/1/04 Politics. One site says Bin Laden's funeral was held about December 16, 2001 (source: Egyptian news paper al-Wafd.) Is this why Bush said about a month later, around Jan 19th, 2002 that we was not really worried about Bin Laden? Rumsfeld said around February 24, 2002 "What we do know is there has not been any recent evidence that he's alive." Interesting. Did Rumsfeld already know about Bin Laden's funeral when he said around April 2002, "We're tracking him down. He's hiding. We haven't heard hide nor hair of him for about, oh, since December, in terms of anything hard." - AP Article, 4/26/02, by ROBERT BURNS. Is Osama expired?
