Red Cross Says "Torture" Occurring At Guantanamo Bay.
Torture is in the news again today. Jesus. This should really piss sane people all the way off!! My fellow Americans, stop torturing other human beings! What in the hell is wrong with you?
My USA is supposed to be above this crap. Stop locking people up for years with no charges. Stop unfair military trials. Stop strapping people to boards and almost or actually drowning them in water! Stop doing sick experiments on prisoners with drugs, electricity and machines. Stop using attack dogs to maul naked prisoners. Stop murdering prisoners and making them attempt suicide. Stop raping women. Stop raping men. Stop making straight male prisoners perform homosexual acts. Stop burning people to death. Stop destroying homes and towns. Stop killing and maiming innocent children. Any person in a position to stop repulsive sadistic behavior must do so. Those who torture and who permit torture must be identified, removed and tried for their crimes. Stop being in denial and read the news. Support Amnesty International which works to stop torture world wide.
Sane people, I have seen and heard cruelty beyond belief recently on our planet. I have friends and relatives in the military. I have friends of all religions and political views. I have seen death in person. I have been betrayed and lied to by the person I trusted the most in this world. But I have also seen and I believe in the beauty of the healthy human spirit. I have had feasts to weep for, and music, and love. I have seen wonders of nature and of man. I am optimistic that we can reject this evil cancer of fear and hate. It is true that "some will enjoy showing deliberate cruelty" but we know this to be mental illness, that is, the result of wrongly functioning brains. Don't hate the crazy people. Pity them. Stop with no more than appropriate force as a good cop would subdue a violent criminal.
